 Hello Chris, Eva and Family,
I am not sitting in the shade writing this although the weather isn’t too bad (for England). I have had a few problems wi
t
h my computer but its working ok now. Well anyway we had a very pleasant drive back to pafos and we drove along the old coast road to the air port and when we got there it was nearly empty, when  we checked in. The flight back to the UK was also very civilized. The plane was only half full! We eventually got home @ 1am your time Saturday the 2nd

Pam and I would like to thank you, very much, for your ‘hospitality’ It was more like staying with friends than a holiday apartment. We both enjoyed our long discussion with you about Cyprus / South Africa / Las Vegas and your ‘posh lift’.
I hope that we shall be able to come back and see you, all again, soon Your Mum and Sisters cooking was grate and your Dads Lemonade ‘Fabulous’ and I still think ,if you’re going to install solar heating, for your pool ,the panels could go on top of bar area which would save a lot of hassel and maintenance. And you should  invest in your local supermarket or get them to donate all the points from your guests purchases to a good cause (equipment for RM)well that’s what I think
Happy Friday and we wish you all ‘Good Health

Hello Chris, Eva, Andreas, Nitsa, Chris, Charoulla, Mandana, Sara, Dimitri and everybody else,
This is what me and my parents would like to write in your guestbook:
”We spent an unforgettable week 14 -21 April in Polis, at the caring and lovely company of Eva, Andreas, Chris and the whole family. First the weather was like spring, then it turned to beautiful, warm summer. We enjoyed tremendously the hospitality of the Neophytou family, making friends with them and most of the other guests. As the most able-bodied person of our 3-member group, I loved noticing how peer support works even between complete strangers. Every more or less disabled person who comes to Evas Apartments has the life easy and comfortable there, unlike very often in their normal everyday life. And the able-bodied companions learn a lot from their new not-so-able-bodied friends!
We all fell in love with Cyprus, Pafos, Polis, Latsi, the Trodos mountains, the bright blue sea, the sunsets, the fish meze, the halloumi-mint Easter bread… and the wine of course. But most of all, we fell in love with the Cypriot way of receiving people. Thank you all so dearly! What this week meant to my elderly parents is well reflected by my Mum’s words: I was certain that this was going to be the very last trip in our life, but now I know we must come here again
With big hugs, Hanna, Eeva and Paavo from Helsinki, Finland”
Hope to hear from you soon!
Love, Hanna

Dear C & A Tourist Apartments
Our holiday with you was more than we ever imagined possible.  The new apartments/studios were amazingly designed to make life easier in and around them, especially for the wheelchair user.  Wide doors, 'space', roll in shower with fixed shower seat,  and even rise and fall grab rails at either side of the toilet!
The pool was great and even had a hoist, what a treat for my stepdad Pete.
From landing at Pafos, and been greeted by C & A's accessible taxi, we knew we were going to be well looked after. Andreas had  the powerchair we'd  booked through GC Paraquip. What dedicated service.
We had all our breakfast catered for in the new extensions dining room...a well deserved treat for my mum.
We had a BBQ, this was great, all home cooked and catered for by the family at C & A.  Highly recommend it !
We enjoyed a stroll to Latchi on the accessible beach walk and went on the glass bottomed boat, even this had a hoist on board
We are so much looking forward to a return visit in October, cant wait.
On behalf of me and my family, thank you for making so many things possible,
Rach, Jay, Dawn and Pete

Hi Chris,
Just like to thank you and your family for a wonderful week’s stay. Yes we were lucky with the weather (a week of wall-to-wall hot sunshine), but even that couldn’t match the warmth of the welcome from all at C&A (and pretty much everywhere else as well!). Up till then I’d avoided anywhere catering for the disabled – maybe a refusal to accept my condition – but having seen how much more my wife and friends were able to relax, I realise I wasn’t being very considerate to them! This is now the pattern for future trips abroad – hopefully to C&A Apts again soon. Can’t wait! Quality of everything was great and people really anxious to help and do their best for you. Fantastic to be able to go for a swim (paddle!) again.
Really missing you all (and Eva’s wonderful breakfasts by the pool!)
See you again (hopefully) soon,
Kind regards,
Kev, Sue, John & Lynda

Dear Chris,
You will not believe it, but our return trip was perfect. We arrived at Stuttgart exactly on German time and with our entire luggage including the wheelchair.
At the moment we are busy sorting and storing the rich harvest which we raked in during our three week stay at C & A Apartments in Polis: three hundred pictures and – much more valuable – a big store of very fond memories.
We explored an island with a colourful history and an impressive landscape. We met interesting people who seriously tried to answer our endless questions.
We enjoyed the relaxed hospitality extended to us by you and your family which on the flight back home led Andreas to the conclusion that these where great holidays because "I could be just as handicapped as I wanted to be"

There is not much to add besides – THANK YOU –

With kind regards

We arrived back in Bristol safe and sound.
The only problem with our holiday in Cyprus was that it was not long enough and we had to return to a frosty England. We could not have asked for anything more; the apartment had all we needed Pam was able to manage all the facilities and was particularly impressed with the bathroom and shower. Sitting in the sun, enjoying the company of you, your family and the other holidaymaker was just great.
Andreas was very helpful, having a minibus with a lift that works was a great relief (so often her in the UK we have to put up with ramps that do not wok on our unlevel surfaces and are to steep). The excursion we did he was very attentive and flexible in meeting our specific needs, we saw so much more of the island and its life that you could not get on a set tour.
We shall certainly look to visit you again, may be not next year as we already have other plans and have already passed on your flyers to our local MS Centre which Pam attends and have mentioned you to other who would welcome your type of holiday.
Good luck with completion of the building work, best wishes to you and all your family and collegues.
bye for now

Dear Chris,
We had a wonderful holiday at Eva's apartments last year -- just right for someone in a wheelchair, so we booked a come back. But we were a little apprehensive -- could it be as good again? But Eva's welcome was as warm as ever, and Chris as attentive as ever. The thrill of being able to be hoisted into the pool -- and into the Mediterranean off the boat -- was as great as before. We had a great fortnight . We got soaked in rainstorms twice, but that was hardly the fault of the folk at C&A!

Dear Chris,
We had a wonderful holiday at Eva's apartments last year -- just right for someone in a wheelchair, so we booked a come back.

Pam / Gwilym

Hi Chris,
From the moment I arrived at C & A Tourist Apartments and was greeted with a hug and kiss from the family , i knew that this holiday was going to be totally different to any holiday i had been on before. The kitchen in my apartment was better adapted for me than my kitchen at home and the bathroom was great too. I knew i could spend this holiday being as independent and safe as i would be at home. Mornings were spent with all the other guests enjoying one of Eva's fantastic breakfasts. The days were spent in an inflatable armchair in the pool and the evenings were spent with the other guests enjoying nice meals out. The whole family were very welcoming and we all ended up like one big happy family - so much so that hopefully i will be coming back next year.

Hi Chris
I would like to thankyou and your family, and of course the adopted thorpe family for making Eddies and our stay a enjoyable one. It was amazing, I will return to cyprus one day, it may not be with Eddie and Elaine, but I will return, and when I do I will call in to see you all.
I dont know if I have read this somewhere but its sort of fits the feeling of our stay,
"I have met many great men, but it takes a greater man, to make the dreams of men come true."
Thank you again, Chris.
Take care,
Love Dave, Eddie and Elaine

We have just returned from the most wonderful week in Cyprus staying at C & A Apartments.  From the moment Andreas collected us in his adapted vehicle the whole week went like a dream.  The facilities were second to none - for the first time ever on holiday I was able to get Bruce in and out of the shower with no problem.  Chris's suggestion that we hire an electric wheelchair was just the best.  It made the holiday for me as I would never have managed with the manual wheelchair in the heat.  Eva's lovely breakfasts round the pool and her daughter's delicious cake were a real treat.  The village of Polis is great - all the people were so very friendly, kind and helpful.  All in all the holiday was perfect and we really look forward to returning before too long.  Love to Chris, Andreas and Eva xxxx

Proficiat en héél veel dank , Chris, Eva, Nitsa, Andreas and Kuma!
Hopelijk, tot een volgende keer !!

What can I say, from the moment Andreas met us at the airport all my worries about taking a disabled person on holiday were alaid.  Elizabeth and I were able to have a normal holiday besides this all because Chris, Andreas and  Eva looked after us so well.  From everything  from breakfast to dinner Eva looked after us like a mother.  Chris helped organise any outing we wanted to go on and Andreas (God Bless Him) did all the driving, tours included with his own personal humour ( this included any toilet stops that were required.  We cant wait to go back knowing that we will be so well looked after.  Elizabeth (although unable to walk) managed a swim in the sea and the pool.  We both went on a boat trip and a tour to winery and Pafos market with everything to see there.  Hope to see our new family soon. Lots of love from Elizabeth and Denise

Hi Chris
Thanks again for another great holiday.  It gets better every year – and I get lazier every year!  We just about managed to drag ourselves away from the pool to go down to the village each evening.  It’s so good to come to a place where you know that the facilities are just what you need – it takes away any worries you might have and I know that Mike feels safe which means it’s a real holiday for me too.  It was great to meet up with friends again and we can’t wait to see you all again next year.

Hi Chris + family
What can we say, you have done it again and made our holiday for Terry+Madge another year to remember, and as you know they are already getting ready to book for next year, from the moment we arrived and were getting out the taxi Eva was there greeting us all, its just like home from home......well sort of.......i think andy does more work here than he does at home (ha ha),even Demetris was there helping with our luggage, and then you came to greet us, you little ray of sunshine, as you know our holiday consists of pleasing Terry+Madge and i know without your help we wouldn't be able to achieve that, they love getting up in the morning and wheeling their chairs down to enjoy the wonderful breakfast Eva has prepared for us all, not to mention the great afternoon cakes, there is only one sad part of the holiday and thats the leaving you all to come home, but we all had such a fantastic time and shall so look forward to seeing you next year. Love to you all

Chris, a thank you to all at the Eva Apartments, Polis, for a wonderful week. Thanks to Eva for her welcome and hospitality that made the stay so enjoyable. Thanks to Andreas for his helpfulness and knowledge that enables us to enjoy and appreciate this part of Cyprus so much. A special thanks to Chris for all that he has achieved in and around the town in making it so accessible but especially for of his warmth, intelligence and humour.
The Eva (C&A) Apartments are so accessible for those with mobility needs and yet also so comfortable for those of us who are partners and carers. For any item or equipment that you discover that you need, simply ask a member of the family at any time of the day, they are only too pleased to assist. The provision and quality of the facilities for those with mobility needs both at the apartments and around Polis generally are clearly the result of somebody who has seen the need from their own personal situation. Chris is quite rightly known locally as the “Wheelchair Warrior”.
Polis itself is a quiet and yet substantial town within easy walking distance of nearby beaches. Within it’s centre there are a number of restaurants which provide a range and variety of menus that would still offer most holiday makers a new choice at the end of their visit. The central square offers a range of pavement bars and cafés that generate a warm relaxed atmosphere were it is easy to while away the evenings. A little further away is the beautiful wine growing region in the hills a few miles from Polis, whilst in less than an hour you can reach the vibrant resort of Paphos. This area of Cyprus has so much to offer which when coupled with the facilities and friendliness of the Eva Apartments make it a must return destination

Once again we came to cyprus, and once again we had a great time. The family were, as always so freindly and helpful. We had some great nights at the complex. Chris' dads adapted taxi (they now have a new one) and all the equipment that we loaned were brilliant. Any extra equipment that we needed was available on arrival e.g bed rails etc. Chris and his family are always on hand to help with any problems that may occur. An example of this was when the tyre on my sisters wheelchair punctured, Andreas sorted the problem with ease.
We met some great people at the complex who made our stay more memorable and enjoyable in fact we are hoping to meet up next year.
Polis itself was also inproved in regards to more ramps two new resturants one of which had a complete refurbishment to cater for disabled people (THE ROYAL), it was totally stylish with excellant disabled toilets and is due to have a lift installed to take wheelchairs to the roof tarrace (I can't wait!) Also the beach path was completed and made an excellant walk.
All in all another superb holiday which I would recommend to anyone, and we shall certainly be returning soon.
thanks for the great times Di, Jan and Jen

Hi Chris
Sorry for  the delay.  We had a good holiday in your studio apartment in March.  We were both impressed with the very high standard of accommodation and facilities surrounding the apartnent.
Alan enjoyed his swim in the pool each day.  It was bit too cool for me though.  We hope to come back to you and next time we will stay for a longer period.
Best wishes to you and the family.

We booked expecting it would be too cold to swim in March/April,  but hoping to find the sun and be able to eat outside and relax after a difficult eight months. Eleni had recently had two serious operations and nine weeks in hospital so we arrived feeling stressed.
The web site looked fantastic, but one is never really confident that facilities will match up to one’s own needs. It was a huge surprise to find everything absolutely perfect for a relaxing time. Much of the success of the holiday was also created by the way in which guests enjoyed each other’s company. We were free to go off alone but whenever we wanted a companion, to walk/wheel along the scenic coast walk, or to try out a new eating-place, it seemed someone was ready to come too. We shared bottles of wine and played cards and swapped books and laughed endlessly and didn’t want to go home!

Hi Chris and family,

We had a fantastic time ,again (our 3rd visit). It is great to know we will have everything we need (especially a well adapted shower room) from the minute we arrive. The beach ramp from Polis to Latchi is a real success story - with plenty of 'watering holes' along the way!! We met some lovely people and your family were so welcoming we felt we were part of it yet again. Thankyou - hope to see you soon!

Approximately six months ago, my 82 year old father who is disabled decided that he wanted to travel abroad and gave my husband and I the task of finding lodging with suitable accommodations in a country that he has not previously visited.  We researched many countries and properties, however, none of the facilities compared to what C & A had to offer.  All our needs were answered.  Chris and his family provided the equipment rentals, personalized excursions, airport transfers and rental vehicles if needed.    Our entire family was overwhelmed by the generous hospitality we received from Andreas, Eva, Chris, Nitsa, Chris, and Dimitri.  We had such a wonderful time getting to know everyone.  We had fresh oranges every morning. Chris introduced us to Meze at one Moustakallis Tavern and took my son, Adam, for ice cream.  My mom and Eva shared recipes and baked a cake together.  Andreas taught me how he makes lemonade, olive oil, and capers.  I enjoyed three pieces of Nitsa's very special chocolate cake.  The verdict is still out on who makes the best cappuccino, Nitsa or Chris.  My son, Adam, made a new Cypriot friend, Dimitri. Our trip to Cyprus was much more than expected.  The memories of our friendship will be our greatest treasure.

With Love and Thanks,

Chris , Eva & Andrea, What lovely people they are. Comfort of apartments, friendship around the complex is wonderful. Transport from & to Air port with Andrea most interesting. Eva's breakfast, her speciality day by day, is fulfilling. Polis Village, people are nice & frindly , Choice of bars, restuarants, nice to have such choice in such a small area. The beach, walk way, & hard surfic along the way to Latchi, fishing Harbour , such wonderful views. The boat trip, with hoist into sea, great , also hoist into swimmingpool, all so wonderfully worked out for those indeed. The mix in the complex also work wheather disabaled or not. A place i will return to. They said never, thunder, lightning or heavy rain known in October, its happened i was there to prove it. Thankyou to the family, for such a welcome, with kindness & good humour Mark

Hi Chris
My husband, Chris, was able to do things that he hadn't done before - powered chair into town; floating in the pool etc.  I can't praise enough the facilities that you have there, it made the holiday for both of us.  Breakfasts were always brilliant and the company was great fun. To top it all, our daughter's wedding went off beautifully.  We hope to see you next June and are already looking forward to another lovely holiday in the sun. Best wishes to all, Chris and Chris Hodgkinson

My parents and I really enjoyed our holiday. What made it so enjoyable was the friendliness of you and your family, the people who were there at the same time as us and the fact that I was able to get around the place on my scooter with no problems! The location was perfect in that it was away from the hussle and bussle of the restaurants and shops but only a short walk away for when we wished to eat or shop. We much prefer smaller apartments to big resorts. Trips were made possible with the minibus and for once it was nice to interact with the people from the apartments which is something we've never really experienced before. And I have to say, your mum and dad do a fab bbq!

Hope to see you again in the near future,

Dear Chris

We must thank you! This was the first time we have been to Cyprus we were very impressed with the apartment, it was very clean and wheel chair accessible throughout and there was even a seat in the shower!  The pool was lovely and hoist was a bonus but I managed to use the steps and they were fine.

We really felt that we were guests of your family and that we were staying in your home.  That is something that money can't buy.  The small town of Polis had enough to do, but the restaurants could work on their disabled loos!

The glass bottom boat was really fun and the hoist allowing Laura to swim in the sea made it a real day out for us both.  It was really good to have you and your family there to help with things like car hire and "stuff".  It all helped to make it a fantastic – stress free holiday for us both.  I think we can safely say that we will be coming back again, and thank you.

Hello ,Chris nice to receive your mail so soon. Missing the family atmosphere weather, and pool .It really was fantastic to holiday at C&A ,as you know DI's injury was only two years ago so gentle persuasion was needed to get her abroad again ,which she was strongly against .But on finding your site we were "READY" speaking to you on the phone was very reassuring, which is what did needed you have a varied equipment range and were helpful when we required a change.in all your family"Mum Evan Dad Nitsa and even Domitri were great .I loved the way you enter your pool and you well know how frightened di was but again assurance from you paid off.we couldn't get her out towards the middle of the holiday "SHE LOVED IT" we had a lovely time with all who were there as all had someone with a disability,Your mum and yourself are so trusting with your bar book it restores faith in humans.PS/we had some great meals in polis but really your barbecue was the best.Wish  all of you well and hope to see you again soon,pps/next time we will get Andreas to take us on one of his many trips  and i would like to get us up paragliding we will ,we will thank you thank you thank you.......DI&STEVE

Dear Chris,

Thank you very much for a lovely holiday.  Paul and I both really enjoyed
ourselves.  The studio was really spacious and very wheelchair friendly - as was the entire site.  Paul would like to say that the good parts for him was having the opportunity to meet and get to know different people in a supportive environment, the friendship of the family, and of course the lift into the fantastic pool which made such a difference to his holiday. Also being away from the big resorts but near to Polis Village which still has a 'being on holiday' appeal with its many restaurants and shops.
I loved everything, it was so relaxing and easy going.  You, Eva and Andreas
were so helpful and you ensured that all your guests got to know each other and encouraged friendships.  The other guests staying at the same time as Paul andI were all really nice and helped make our holiday special. We will remember with pleasure the boat trips, visits to concerts, barbecues and meals out together that you organised and we look forward to doing it all again next year.
kind regards to everyone
who know us and best wishes to you and your Mum and Dad.  Do keep in touch.

Dear Chris and family,
These few words to let you know that we all arrived very safely home. All tiered but so full of emotions and very happy. You deffinately did so much to make our stay a pure wonder and an apsolutelly unforgetable experience. We felt at home as from the very moment Andreas picked the 12 of us up at the airport, dropping out from Switzerland. Sharring the life of people as if we all were members of the same familly. What touched me a lot too was to see some of our fellows make progress , go beyond their fears ( Christopher dive into the pool from his weel-chair , François say almost full sentences, Nelly walk on difficult  and rough ground ( the beach stones beyond the ramp)...etc...etc...! We will not forget you and all those that we met ( Anne, Gieseppe, Dave and their families) It was for me an oasis of love, peace and fellowship in a world where those values are sometimes dificult to find and experience. I would like once more to thank you all, the whole family, from the deapest part of my heart for what you did. THANK-YOU !!!
With love and warmest regards,
Etienne.

Having just returned from a most enjoyable, relaxing fortnight staying at C & A Apartments with Chris and his parents Eva and Andreas, I felt the need to say a few words.  My husband Jim suffers from COPD (Emphysema) and needs help with washing and dressing due to shortness of breath.  In the past we have always gone self-catering to the Greek Islands, but more recently found that the size (or lack of size!) of the rooms and bathrooms made it difficult for me to assist him. Whilst browsing on the Internet, Jim found Chris’ website and it looked so good we decided to book.  Best decision we ever made

The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms large and equipped for every disability need (and anything else you can think of is rapidly provided).   As it is a family –run enterprise, we felt more like invited guests, and all the other guests at the time, with a variety of needs, were well catered for.   And talking of catering – Eva’s cooking (assisted by her daughters) is second to none.  We had the most delicious cakes served with coffee at the pool in the afternoon, the breakfasts were big enough to last you all day, and in the evening one could have either Andreas’ famous South African style barbeque (Braai) enhanced with more of Eva’s selection, or delicious curries and roast chicken Cyprus style

The pool was great, equipped with a chair-hoist to lift those who needed it in and out of the water.  Everything is wheelchair accessible, and the whole surrounding and atmosphere was one of peace and quiet.

Hi Chris,
We have not forgotten you and your parents either!
Thanks for a lovely stay...we completed the rest of our Cyprus visit in April 2005 without incident and by far C & A Apts was the best accommodation we had. We are both able-bodied and the facilities are just as excellent for us. Wonderful fish dinners are within walking distance and Aphrodite's Baths are an easy cycle (about 10Km each way)Breakfasts by the pool are not to be missed!!!!

Hi Chris
In June 2006 we hired a wheelchair for my Dad who has Parkinsons Disease. Although Dad is able to walk short distances we decided that having a chair " just in case" would let us see more of the island. Our initial email was met with a prompt and professional response so we weren't surprised when on our first morning in Polis the wheelchair was delivered. What we weren't expecting, however was the totally personal and friendly service we received. The service you and your family provide Chris is much more than hiring equipment - you genuinely care and seem committed to ensuring that everyone can enjoy their time in Cyprus.
We would recommend:
The boat trip - it was so refreshing to go out with a group without worrying whether we were holding people up or whether we could get on and off okay.
A walk along the beach between Polis and Latchi
and finally
Your service to anyone who asks (and even those who don't!)
Kind Regards Elaine, Arthur, Len and Margaret

What can we say…our second visit to the apartments and it really felt like returning home!  Mum is so much more disabled this year than last (a stroke on top of MS is NOT funny) so returning to see everyone in Polis was easy for us, we knew exactly what to expect.  Andreas was at the airport to greet us all (sorry for the late arrival Andreas) and we soon fell into the ‘it’s no problem’ way of life!  Eva’s breakfasts are just as we remembered them; despite protestations of ‘I’m only having toast’ we all ate too much!!  Our two week stay went by far too quickly and we made some great friends too.  Charlotte’s fall into the pool will probably be best remembered thanks to Paul’s quick dive to the bottom to retrieve her (despite her bobbing up quickly with her arm bands on) and her agreement to want to move to Cyprus despite having to learn a new sandwich (language!) is likely to cause giggles across the world for a while to come! To anyone considering visiting Polis for the first time, do it!  The apartments have everything you need for a peaceful holiday, all of the equipment you could ever imagine needing for someone with a disability is on hand, the weather is hot, the pool is warm, Andreas is the happiest taxi driver we’ve ever met, Eva is a wonderful cook (supported brilliantly by two daughters and a very helpful grandson) and Polis itself is more than geared up for wheelchair accessibility.  Pafos is well worth a visit if you get a free day and if you can get a day in the mountains you’ll be well rewarded.
Chris, Eva and Andreas, we will be back!  Thank you for everything you did for us again this year, without you it just wouldn’t be the same.
Love to everyone, from Emma, Paul, Charlotte, Ann, Ian, Joan and Sarah xxxxxxx

Have just finished our second successful holiday at C&A Apartments between the 17 and 31 of May . Again Chris and family made our time in Cyprus a wonderful experience. From the comfortable and totally accessible apartment to the hire of the equipment provided by Chris, in our case an electric wheelchair and a bed stick. Then of course the friendly help and advice from Chris and all his family all added up to a perfect holiday.

Chris
'This was our third trip together to C&A.  We did consider momentarily whether we should travel somewhere else on holiday this year but our decision to return was made beacuse we knew that this would be guaranteed rest, relaxation and fun.  Despite the fact that this is already extremely accessible, each time we come we see access improvements which is kind of rare - so often the UK experience is that when improvements are made a huge fuss acompanies them, we are all made to understand just how difficult and expensive they have been and then nothing else happens for years, all the while time and technology is moving on and lots more is both known and possible.  A couple of the important changes we liked this year were the reassuring addition of a mechanical method of operating the pool hoist should power fail (kind of important but rarely considered - lift users of London Underground will know all about the importance of back-up plans) and news of a two new accessible toilets (one in Polis itself and one in nearby Latchi) - also on the critical list if you actually want to be a bit freer on holiday than you are at home.  But access is as much dependent on attitude as on architecture and here we find that the main thing that makes us completely relax is the way we are treated - we are always welcomed and treated equally and respectfully - inclusion is fast becoming a was of life for the entire area and is especially noticeable in Polis.  It seems strange to be writing in the 'guest book' because as Chris says, we are now pretty much part of the furniture (I prefer 'part of the family' myself but our friendship is based on this kind of easy rudeness and I wouldn't have it any other way!)

'Notes for newcomers:
  • Pack clothes that are comfortable - you are likely to eat a lot of delicious food including Evas hearty and varied breakfasts
  • The pool heats up incrementally every day (as does the weather) - in July it's like a warm bath, in November it's a one off and not to be repeated stiff-lipped British experience for the foolhardy only - we find May is perfect and the hoist really does work
  • The sun is stronger than you think but the chmist is excellent and well-equipped for anything you've forgotten
  • smaller wheelchairs can clear the very nice old jewelery shop doors (just!)
  • Paphos Market - well worth a morning visit
  • I took two twelve year olds last year and could sit in the sqaure in Polis with a cold beer whilst they wandered around knowing that they were completely safe and would be welcomed everywhere
  • Be sure to book well in advance - the word is getting out!
Love to all
P x

Hi Chris
Our second trip to C&A Apartments in May 2006 was even better than the first.  It was planned as a 60th  birthday treat for Mike, but we’ve got a taste for two holidays a year now and are looking forward to coming back again next May.  We met old friends and made new ones and the welcome from Chris, Eva and Andreas was wonderful.  Good job I don’t have your pancakes and home made marmalade every day Eva – I’d be enormous!   With the help of your flotation jacket Chris, Mike has rediscovered the delight of swimming – thank you!
It is a really relaxing holiday for us both.  Normally when we go away, Mike is less independent than at home as he has to get used to his surroundings, but the attention to detail at C&A Apartments, as well as the family atmosphere, makes it a real home from home.  I can relax knowing that Mike has all the facilities he needs so it is a real holiday for us both.  Can’t wait to come back!

Of course, I knew what to expect having been in 2005 but I bought with me 5 different people this time, each with different needs and abilities. I really appreciate the efforts you went to to provide us with the extra equipment we needed to assist us around the appartment. ie: the bed rails and toilet seats. I am already looking forward to coming again in June 2007.

Aktivurlaub April 2006

This is just wee note to say how marvellous my recently holiday to Cyprus (Evas Apartments) and how your equipment made the world of different.  Your scooters, and how reliable they were, made our holiday so great and gave my friend and I a great deal of freedom.  The range of the equipment that we used and how accessible it made our holiday was second to none. Also, we love to add, how amazing it was to be picked from the airport you have no idea what different it makes to the start of our holiday.
There is nothing that can be faulted, and I will be highly recommending it to all I can , so keep up the good work!

I was expecting a week lazing in the sun. Yes you can do that but it's much more fun talking with the Neophytou family! From grandad Andreas (who we called the 'mountain goat' - find out for yourself), to a very young grandma Eva who will help in whatever way she can, to son Chris, who is really something of a party animal with a wicked sense of humour, to the gorgeous grandsons Andreas and little Dimitri. They make you so welcome you feel as if you've known them much longer than a week. Watch out Chris, we'll be back for more schnapps!

Dear Chris Eva and Family,
Last night our evening paper The Portsmouth evening news ran an article about holidaying in Cyprus,   It waxed lyrical about the beautiful Troodos mountains , cycling in the Akamas Peninsular exploring the lovely little coves and beaches, and enjoying wonderful food , but it didn't mention the one really important thing, the warmth friendliness and kindness of the people.   If anyone really would like to experience the best that Cyprus has to offer look no where else but C & A ap
artments, a small oasis in a lovely village, with the best family you will ever find (except of cause for Chris) but then nothing can be perfect !!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you my dearest friends for my 5th perfect holiday with you,  see you next year.

It was in November that I was able to visit Eva, Andrew and Chris in Polis. After many wonderful stories, looking at beautiful photos and descriptions from my boyfriend Didi, I at last had the opportunity to visit C & A Appartments. I was visiting Cyprus as a tour guide with 30 German guests, staying in Lemesos and was lucky to have 2/3 days off. Didi was staying at C & A’s during my second week on Cyprus.
I drove over to Polis one afternoon very excited about what lay ahead of me. I had already seen many beautiful areas of the island by coach and driving across from Lemesos to Polis in a hired car was very enjoyable. Didi met me at the edge of the town and he directed me to C & A’s.
Blue skies, warm air and a beautiful garden with lemon and orange trees greeted me. At the back of the house, the swimming pool amongst flower pots, palm trees, sun lounges and a small bar. A hidden paradise…an invitation to relax and enjoy ones surroundings as well as  Eva’s, Andrew’s and Chris’s warm hospitality.
I was very happy to be in Polis and felt at home straight away. In the morning we were called up for breakfast…breakfast??? It was a feast…together with other guests we ate scrambled eggs and halloumi cheese, toast and jam, musli cornflakes and chatted about all sorts. It was very difficult for me to leave the homely surroundings in the evening.
I look forward to visiting C & A’s again and would like to thank Eva, Andrew and Chris once again for making Didi and myself feel most welcome.
Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas, health and happiness in 2006.
Warmest regards, Eileen ( Dieter Ringel’s girlfriend)

Hi Chris and Eva,
A very short week with you and your hospitable family was an experience we were glad not to miss and I am sure we will never forget these days. The family atmosphere in your house was so fantastic that we felt most welcome.
At
the Easter barbecue with your family and all the guests we could enjoy Eva's great cookery (I can praise her cuisine even though I am a picky eater!). On this occasion we may try your father's mysterious pickled plant.
Whatever we want
ed, you wish to make it real and no matter how many questions my mother had you always had an open ear for everything.
Next time I come with a swimsuit and we will plunge into the water after 14
years and after this I will enjoy your raised sunbeds again.
Many thanks for everything from

If you've ever been faced with the task of finding adequate accommodation for wheelchair holidays then look no more. C & A Apartments run by Chris, his mum Eva and dad Andreas is as near as perfect as it is possible to be. The success of this complex is due to the fact that the apartments and facilities have been designed and built with the guidance of someone who knows what he is talking about - someone in a chair himself. Accessible bedrooms, wide doors, no hassle bathrooms with enough grabrails to occupy an octopus all take the worry and stress out of your holiday. This place also offers a welcome so warm and friendly that you immediately feel at ease. There's breakfast in the sun by the pool and uninterrupted peace if that is what you want or as an alternative any adrenalin rush that Chris can arrange for you. It's no wonder that just about everyone who comes here books to return just as we have and there is a sense of relief knowing that you will cope and that means a lot when holidays are difficult to book. Able bodied and disabled mix here without the edginess and tension often experienced at other so called 'disabled accomodation'. Here you arrive as strangers and leave as friends not only with the owners but with everyone who is staying and in this day and age that is a unique experience. Well done Chris, your place is very special.

We had a really super time in Cyprus – in fact we are keen to go back next May as a 60th treat for Mike.  The apartment was ideal for Mike so it was relaxing for me as well.  There was a pool with floating armchairs – very relaxing!  A short walk, or roll, got you to the village square which was lovely.  Full of restaurants – Mike’s idea of heaven!  We ate out every night and enjoyed the atmosphere.  Everyone was really friendly and we made some really good friends in the apartments themselves.

How often do you find an article of interest on the Internet, send an email and never get a reply? Sounds familiar?. An immediate response always makes a good impression - 41 emails is nothing short of impressive. Thats the number of emails we exchanged Chris reliably informs me!!. With the accommodation, transfers and car hire all booked with no problems whatsoever courtesy of Chris, that just left us the task of finding flights and Insurance. The flights, no real problem, but finding suitable insurance for a person with special needs can present difficulties. We decided on flights with British Airways and Insurance through HSBC Bank. On arrival into Larnaca Airport (Paphos is nearer though), we were greeted by Andreas and promptly transferred to Polis.............in the pouring rain!!. On arrival, we were escorted to our brilliantly equipped and adapted apartment by Eva and Chris. We spent the first couple of days getting accustomed to the area, and the weather, which by now had improved (thankfully!!). We also managed a swim on Polis beach, just a 15 minute walk from the apartments. In the evenings, there were plenty of eating establishments nearby, and, disappointingly for Jane, a pub with Sky Sports!!. We hired a non adapted car for the remainder of our 12 night stay and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Country. We would definitely recommend Coral Bay Beach for anyone wanting to play in the sand and swim in the sea. Did we come across any 'hidden costs'? No, everything was exactly as expected - even the car hire where 'extras' can increase the cost considerably.
However what made the holiday beyond any shadow of doubt was the hospitality shown by Chris and his family. This is not your 'basic package family holiday' out of a tour operator brochure - it is much much more, and the personal attention to fine detail and the way you are genuinely made to feel welcome is something we have never experienced on any other holiday we have ever been on. Is this the best holiday we have had? - Yes, and we would pack our bags and go again tomorrow. We had no problem with any of the areas we visited with our 8-year old son, Thomas, who is wheelchair bound, and everyone we met were friendly and helpful. We can't honestly think of anything critical to say about anything related to our holiday - it was perfect in every respect.
If you are reading this article and wondering if it is genuine, then yes it is. I am the Chair of Governors at Thomas's Special School (Fairfields School, Northampton, UK) and you are more than welcome to contact me with regards to what has been written (MARK@rjames47.freeserve.co.uk).
Thank you to everyone for making our holiday so special.
Love from Mark, Jane, Thomas and Katie James.  xxxxx

Hello! Chris, Eva,& Andreas. Our Cypriot Friends.

Well Chris what can i say about you and your family, that has not been said before, We have gone through your guest book, and no matter what we say some one else will has said it already. You and your lovely family have created a beautiful oasis in the center of Polis, we loved going around your village using one of your rental scooters (made our holiday stress free). i liked the way it is and pray that the big Holiday firms dont come in and ruin the town by building highrise hotels that dont have any feeling about them and they only worry about the money that they make from people and  every body is just a number. Where as arriving at C&A Apartments. we felt the warmth" not from the hot sun in the sky" but from your familys hearts, i dont think we have ever had a welcome like it any where else. Yes Chris (or should i say Mr Neophytou)
You have created a wonderful Oasis for the people with Disabilities to visit, where i think for the first time disabled and able bodied people were treated the same. As other people have said, your family were wonderful and nothing was to much for them and yes your mother is a great baker and a wonderful cook and i just dont know how she puts up with you, for while she was dealing with the guest and just maybe trying to get a relaxing cup of coffee what did we all hear, (was your soft dulcet tones Calling  Maw!!!!) and for your dad Andreas what a taxi driver, he must know the roads in Cyprus, like the back of his hands or as they say "or as someone said to me he could drive blindfold and would still get us to our destination" but as long as im not in the taxi when he does "It was great meeting you and all of your family espeacially on our last night at the barbeque, Issy (the Gaffer) and i have not had a laugh like that in a long time, and as the morning of our departure, you and your family even made that special by the way you sent us off with true love and affection. I hope and pray that we will meet again until then we wish you and yours all the very very best from Glasgow

"We are a family of five and we came to C&A on a recommendation.  I went on the web site as soon as I was given the details about C&A and booked straight away once I read all the details about the accommodation, facilities and Polis. Although I was born in Cyprus I had never stayed in Polis nor visited the Akamas peninsula. When we arrived we were not disappointed. The family welcome was special and warm. The facilities were first class and the atmosphere was calm, relaxed and very inclusive. We are all able bodied and throughout our stay we integrated naturally with all the guests.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at C&A and would like to return in the future" Regards to all of you

Nu was alles perfekt.

We had a fantastic time with Chris, Eva,Andreas and family. It was the first holiday since becoming a wheelchair user. All the facilities are waiting for us an were perfect. So we used the monkey poon and it was very easy to turn into the bed. We hired an electric scooter so that we could make a walk every day. Everything into the house was perfect: the bathroom was spacious enough to maneuver around and it was fine to have a shower-sitting.
Everything was perfect. Eva's breakfast and home-made cakes in the afternoon were to die for. We had a wonderful time and next year we will come back.

Dear Chris, Eva, Andreas and all your lovely family,
Thank you once again for a superb holiday. We had such a wonderful time last year and found everything laid on to
accommodate our youngest son Robbie, 11, (who has Muscular Dystrophy) that we just had to come back!
The warm welcome from you and your family makes us immediately feel at home
and relaxed in your Polis oasis. The beautiful pool surrounded by all itsspectacular plants and trees is the perfect place to unwind. Tom and Robbie loved the pool so much. The pool hoist meant that Robbie could access the pool easily and safely and was swimming 5 lengths by the end of the holiday!
It was lovely to have the adjoining studios which have been refurbished
beautifully. It meant that the boys could have some space away from us but we were still close at hand. The spacious toilets/bathrooms make it easy to transfer from wheel chair to shower chair.
The hospitality laid on by your family is second to none - the barbeques,
breakfasts etc. But we do have one complaint - we have all put on weight thanks to the delicious cakes served-up by Eva at the pool each afternoon!! The whole holiday was made truly special and complete by meeting up again with our friends from last year - Helen, Nigel, Liam, Amy and Kathy - just perfect.
Thank you all once again,
love Trace, Jim, Tom and Robbie xxxx

We have just returned from a heavenly two week holiday in sunny Cyprus. To say we enjoyed ourselves would be an understatement. From the moment we saw Andreas (or taxi man, as my 3 year old likes to call him) at the airport waiting for us, to the emotional reunion with Chris and his adorable mother Eva, till the moment we had to say our tearful goodbyes, it was just perfect. We visited last year for just one week, as we were a little nervous about taking our disabled son abroad for the first time. We found everything was so easy and well prepared for disabled people, that we quickly rebooked for this year. C and A apartments are the perfect holiday destination for disabled people and able bodied people alike and I would recommend them to anyone. We also had the pleasure of meeting our friends from last year, Jim, Tracy, Tom and Robbie again. This was the icing on the cake and made it a truly memorable holiday
Thank you to Andreas, Chris and Eva and of course the rest of the family xx

At the beginning of july  my husband lorenzo and I enjoyed a fab two weeks at evas appartments. We were very impressed with the excellent accomadation which was more accessible than any where we have ever stayed even better than our own home!!! Evas breakfasts and homemade cakes were fab as was Andreas's homemade lemonade. We were made to feel very welcome. We went on two of the trips with Andreas who impressed us with his vast knowledge the trip to the mountains was one I feel we will never forget because the scenery was breathtaking thankyou so much Andreas.
The town and the local people were so welcoming too and accessible you never had to worry about where to eat because all the restaurants were so helpful.
We will definately be returning next year to enjoy another carefree, friendly, welcoming and totally relaxing holiday.
Thank you to Eva, Andreas, Chris and the rest of friends and family who made our holiday so great xx

Hi to you all...

We would just like to give you an enormous Thanks and a thumbs up for all your help to ensure we had the time of our lives in Cyprus.
We cannot express our thanks for the thought that has gone into your accommodation, especially with the wheelchair user in mind.  Pete has been wheelchair bound for over 20 years due to MS, and has no lower mobility, impaired vision etc...and until we stayed with you and your family, we never thought a holiday like this would have ever been possible.  The ramps, the wide access to studio's, the adapted shower rooms,  and the apartment within which we stayed was fantastically thought out.  It's  been over 30 years since Pete had ever been in the sea...and with all your carefull adaptations to many accessible areas this was made possible.  He was lowered into the sea from a specially adapted seat and hoist and he had a brilliant time dipping in the 'Med'.
The Pool played a very important part in our stay at C & A Apartments......this meant that with the hoist and a special floating 'bed' my husband was able to enjoy a dip in the pool to keep cool. just like the rest of us....Well Done, Chris...you made our holiday a holiday to remember.   Not forgetting Eva's magnificently delicious home made cakes for afternoon teas, and Andreas' sizzling barbecues.....cant wait to revisit next year......started packing already and have only been back home 24 hours.....Love to you all and thank you so very much, from the bottom of our hearts for such a truly memorable time.
Will be in touch soon,
Best wishes
Dawn and Pete Bailey-Hague and Jan
PS  if anyone out there is reading this and wonders if it is too good to be true, you can email me .....contact Chris for my details.

Mark, who has been paraplegic since 1985, myself, (Barbara) Rhiannon (17),James (17) and their friends Dan (17) and Martin (27) all stayed at Eva's apartments this month and had the most relaxing holiday we've ever had.
Mark has travelled plenty since he broke his back, but no-where in the world so far, has met the standards set by Eva and her family. The apartments were spacious, immaculately clean and easy to get about. Chris, Eva's son, and Nitsa, his sister, greeted us and showed us to our apartments where welcome packs greeted us in the fridges. The air-con was brilliant as the weather was well above temperatures that we enjoy (?) in England.  Mark found getting in and out of the pool very easy with the hoist provided and the swimming aids that were provided, were invaluable in just floating around and keeping cool whilst enjoying the sun. It's been over 10 years since Mark's been in a pool, so it really was a treat for him, and for me!
Eva, Andreas and their family couldn't have been more welcoming and so helpful.  If we'd had the energy, we could have gone on a boat trip, a trip to the mountains or anywhere else that we'd fancied, as Andreas' taxi has
been adapted to easily take the wheelchair. However, relaxation was the order of the week, so we just lazed around!
The restaurants and bars in Polis are all very aware of disabilities and have even got "leg raisers" for their tables to allow wheelchairs to push in under! The other guests were all brilliant, and we made some really good, hopefully lifelong, friends.
We're planning to go back there next year, and hope one day to be able to spend 6 months a year out there (when the kids have left Uni!)  A lovely dream of a holiday, and a dream to be fulfilled!
Thank you Chris, Eva, Andreas and Nitsa. We love you all

Dear Chris, Eva, Andreas and all the family
We have just returned after two weeks staying with you (our 3rd visit) and I can honestly say that we feel really rested and refreshed.   Usually with most holidays (taken elsewhere) one normally feels that you need a holiday to recover from a holiday if you know what I mean. It is lovely to feel so cared for, like one of the family.
The new adaptations to the apartments are great, really accessible and as you know I really appreciate being able to get in and out of the pool with the hoist (sorry Chris but I can't throw myself in like you do).  The boat trip with the hoist to get me into the sea was fantastic - thanks for organising it. Frank really appreciated being able to hire a scooter from you - it meant that he didn't get worn out trying to keep up with me in my power chair.
It’s brilliant to know that Andreas is there for airport transfers and for trips, much better than having to rely on strangers.
Well we are really looking forward to coming again so see you in 2006.
Thanks again
love from Vanessa & Frank Rumble

Hi
This place is one of the best we have visited, nothing is too much trouble for Chris and Eva, all you want is there, the family make you so welcome, and it is great to be able to get in the pool, via the hoist, it means so much to us, there a BBQ's and trips out if you want, all the apartments are well equipped for the disabled, this was our second visit and it isn't often we go back to the same place, but we had such a great holiday there in 2004 that we soon booked for this year, we would recommend the place to any disabled people, the best we have visited.

We all really enjoyed our stay at C&A apartments, the apartments were exactly as we had expected, perfect for anyone in a wheelchair, the pool hoist really made the holiday, taking away all the worries of how to get Dennis in and especially out of the pool, it was brilliant.  The combination of friendly and relaxed hosts, well adapted apartments and the pool hoist made for a stress free relaxing holiday.  I would definitely recommend it to anyone either with a disability or not.
Thanks Chris, Eva and Andreas for making us welcome and part of the family. Hopefully we will be back.

My family and I (husband and two children) decided to take my mother on holiday with us. She has been in a wheelchair for six years and has not travelled abroad during this time. We were all extremely concerned how we would cope with the whole issues of travelling abroad.
The accommodation side was easy, we found Chris and his family. Superb accommodation with everything my mother required for her stay. Nothing was too much trouble and the whole family made us feel extremely welcome. My two children aged 10 and 8 found nothing to moan about and enjoyed the pool and the local beach.
The town itself is very nice. Chris has worked hard to ensure that facilities for the disabled are being put into place, a ramp for wheelchairs on the beach and toilets. The restaurant managers are all used to the requirements of wheelchair users and are extremely helpful and will assist with moving chairs, table as required.
To sum up our holiday experience, we had an extremely relaxed and enjoyable holiday and my mother is already checking her dates for next year.

Its always sad to return from a good holiday especially when you have found a totally suitable place to spend some time in the sun. As anyone who has to consider a disability will know, not every "disabled accessable" claim is what it should be, but not only are the newly refurbished rooms now totally suitable but the pool area with its raised sunbeds and pool hoist mean disabled and carer alike can enjoy peace of mind and a really relaxing holiday.
If that were not enough you then have Christo and his extended family and friends who are the icing on the cake as far as we are concerned. Even on our first visit (this was our 3rd in just over 1 year) we were treated as family and now Joyce will e-mail Christo  before we travel and sort out a B-B-Q evening as you would your own friends and family.
Its very hard to say just what it is that makes the C&A apartments experience such an enjoyable one , but if Chris and Co could bottle it they would all be millionaires! Thanks once again guys.

"My third time at C&A apts in Polis, - being part of the furniture now - was like coming home after 3 years of staying away. Although it was Janneke's first time, it was so familiair to here, she had the feeling of knowing Eva, Andreas, and Chris as long as I do.
We had a lovely and relaxing holiday. In the swimming pool and in the garden, talking with our neighbours, drinking Dutch coffee with Eva and Andreas and visiting the Polis park with Chris  on the scooters (historic moment, his first time). The oranges from the trees in the garden where excellent, (juiceful and sweet) even as the home made lemonade, cakes, and oliveoil. My birthday party and present from Dimitri was a complete surprise, I'll never forget, Thanks to you all. We love to come again. See you later!!!

Where do I begin? Having just returned from a wonderful weeks holiday at C&A Apartments, with Chris, Eva, Andreus & the rest of the family. So many high points, from wonderful people, Fantastic food & the apartments are designed with such thought.Nothing was too much trouble. Eva's breakfast & home-made cakes in the afternoon, were to die for. Andreus knowledge on the trip to the Troodos mountains & Kykkos monastery was second to none, with plenty of stops on the way for refreshments, toilet & photos. Going out with Chris & the rest of the crowd was a scream. Tables raised at some restaurants for wheelchairs & waiters eager to help. Our holiday was also made a lot easier regarding wheelchairs, having only taken my sister's manual wheelchair, we hired an electric one from Chris, this made our holiday easier & also gave my sister a little more independence. (Chris as an array of chairs & scooters for you to hire) Please visit Chris's other website for items to hirer. www.paraquip.com.cy  The biggest highlight was seeing Janet being lowered into the pool on the hoist & floating around with not a care in the world. But, saying good bye was the hardest, there were a few tears on parting with Eva. We will defiantly be going back next year to see our new found family & friends.

Nothing was to much trouble and they did every thing to make our holiday exceed all our expectations. The apartments situated just a few minutes from the lovely traffic free square of Polis with its friendly cafes, shops and restaurants is the perfect base for a stress free holiday. If you have a disability and have had doubts about taking a holiday abroad, take a look through the guest book and look at the website and book with confidence – you wont be disappointed.

It was a privilege to spend a holiday at your apartments and to spend time with your family.  The benefits gained by my dad, who suffers from Motor Neurone Disease and by my mother, were huge!  The facilities for dad and his wheelchair at the apartments were fantastic, and the work you have done in promoting accessibility around Polis made this a truly memorable family holiday.
The accessibility of the restaurants and bars in Polis was excellent and we loved the hospitality that was so generously given to us at Moustakallis, in particular!  This was typical of the warmth and friendship we received from all those we met in your beautiful country (& especially your lovely town).  But I must say, neither dad nor David have managed to get such a good shave since they returned home!
It was great to be able to spend time with the other guests too and to exchange experiences and make helpful contacts.  We will come back to stay with you without a doubt and would recommend your apartments to friends and family regardless of whether they have disabilities!
This was a special holiday, amongst special people, at special apartments and we thank you!
Vivienne & David

This was my first visit abroad since becoming a wheelchair user and I was somewhat concerned as to accessibility and getting around (both inside and out).
However I need not have worried as the facilities were perfect; infact some areas were better than I have at home!!!. There were ramps everywhere and the apartment was spacious enough to maneuver around easily in a wheelchair, the bathroom was spacious too, and it was great to have a shower - sitting down!!
Chris has a wide range of chairs, power scooters, walking aids and much more, that are available for hire at a reasonable price.
Chris and his family made us feel very welcome and were happy to stop and chat to us, even though they appeared very busy. Chris found us plenty of places to visit and several restaurants all of which were accessible.
We only have one complaint......that it was too cold to go swimming!
Julie and I had a good time and we have recommended it to our friends and we hope to be back again soon

Chris, we can’t thank you enough for all that you and your family did to ensure our first visit to your beautiful island was memorable.  Our holiday would have been impossible had it not been for the thought that you’ve put into your apartment complex, making is perfectly suitable for wheelchair users.  The hoist to get disabled people into the pool is a brilliant idea (even if the water is a little cold at this time of year!) and we can’t wait to return to visit you all again.

Hi!
I just wanted to say thanks for such a brilliant holiday! Chris and his family made me and my family feel extremely welcome from the minute we arrived and went out of their way to make our first visit to Cyprus absolutely brilliant! The rooms are so well adapted that it meant that coping in a wheelchair was no problem and the pool hoist was a great help. I enjoyed every minute of it from the evenings out with Chris to the boat trip which were definately some of the highlights of the holiday. I'm already planning my next visit to C&A Apartments and I can't wait to come back!

Our family spent a fantastic two weeks at C&A Apartments. The hospitality of the Neophytou family is exceptional. From the homeliness of Eva's cooking, the wisdom and knowledge about Cypus of Andreas and the "everything is possible" attitude of Chris, it is the perfect holiday for everyone. No-one should be concerned about any disabilty as their positive approach will find the answer.
I wish the Neophytou family every success for the future and hope that others learn from them.

hello all of you,
I only can say thank you for everything. Since I have to use a wheelchair this has been the most wonderful experience - I felt like a member of the family. as I have seen a few places before and I am rather critical, but this place is exceptional, one does feel safe and does get every comfort. last year i started to travel on my own - without company. at the appartment and at the airport i felt like something special, but of course in a good way. Next year - if the political situation is not going to a worse change, I definitely will came back to this place - to the always cheerful eva, nutcracking andreas and of course to chris, who does manage the 'new' life very well.and to all the activities they offer - one does get more confident in oneself. this is the way how holidays should be - relaxing.
thank you again!

We have just returned from our second visit this year to C&A Apartments and if possble we enjoyed it even more than the first time!Helen like Chris has Ataxia and is a wheelchair user. Andreus has shown us some of the local delicasies, his home grown olives, pomegranites also showing us his nuts.
My wife Helen was a fearless participant in extreme sports and had a crack at Parasailing,we also enjoyed the new ramp at the beach and the Alkion 2 Glass bottom boat trip.
Eva kept us supplied with cakes and hearty breakfasts, whilst also showing us the best swimming spots.
We are already looking forward to our next visit and meeting up with our Cypriot freinds. Can't wait to return.

Hello All,

Mo and I have just returned from a holiday ay C&A Tourist Apartments in Cyprus. It is a small family-run concern consisting of eight 1 or 2 bedroom studios and a 3 bedroom apartment. I have been fortunate enough be able to travel around the world with my wheelchair, and have stayed in many hotels and resorts with varying degrees of accessible accommodation. I can say without hesitation that this was the most enjoyable worry-free week I have spent anywhere.

Andreus and his wife Eva, along with their son Chris (Who has Friedreich’s Ataxia like me) run a very friendly and well organised location for able-bodied and disabled people alike. The main reason for their success in my opinion is the small scale of the apartments. Instead of being a room number, you are made to feel part of the family. All visitors are encouraged to mix & dine with others bringing shy people comfortably out of their shells.

Accessibility has been the main driving force behind the design with roll-in showers and handrails where they should be. A swimming pool with a hoist and handrails is ideal to cool off in the very warm climate (I went in October!) To complete a perfect holiday, there are various accessible excursions such as a boat trip with a specially designed hoist-chair to lower you over the side and into the sea! Unbelievably, there is also a fully accessible parasailing trip! A resident accessible taxi and rentals of electric scooters and other such equipment make C&A Tourist Apartments the complete holiday for all.

Thanks to all the team, and it is a great team, for a wonderful holiday. The weather was brilliant, the sea exceptional, the scenery awesome and Polis very, very friendly and relaxing. After all that you return to a "laid back",friendly, helpful atmosphere, Eva's cakes and cooking, Andrea's attentivness, fruit and tours, Chris's enthusiasm for you to have a good holiday, and a splendid backroom staff. We stayed in the upstairs apartment, very roomy it seemed reasonableto us. I am sure I have said enough, if I have missed anyone I am sorry. Ah! DIMITRI enough said, just HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Good luck and best wishes to all

4th time with Chris Eva and their lovely family, a brilliant week once again. We keep coming back because of the hospitality shown to us. We have found the gem in the Island of Cyrpus, we are sure there isn't a better place to stay.
Back to the lovely U.K. with rain hail and cold winds, never mind it gives us the reason to save to see Cyprus and our wonderful family again next year.
By the way the 6 of us staying in the appartment are all able bodied, but we can see by the happy faces why the disabled guest find C and A appartments the best.
Thank you all for a wonderful holiday.

Although we were actually staying in a hotel in Paphos, the fantastic day we spent with Chris in Polis was the highlight of the holiday. I was lucky enough to find the Evas Apartments website before leaving the UK, and met up with Chris once in Cyprus. We had a whole day of activities, including a boat trip with a gorgeous swim in the sea, and parasailing. Since an accident last year left me confined to a wheelchair, these were things I thought were no longer possible. Chris showed me that anything is possible! All his hard work has meant that Polis is a much more accessible place for wheelchair users, and the ramp down on the beach is brilliant.

Thank you so much for giving us such a great experienc
e!

This is the second time of visiting C & A Apartments in Polis and have found the features in the complex have changed for the better ie:-  the higher sun beds & handrails around the swimming pool & the taxi service supplied by Chris father Andreas. This has made the already superb facilities which were installed  last year made the holiday we had last year [which we could not fault in any way or form] so much more pleasurable, I have Motor Neurone Disease and I can not move my legs anymore, the extra facilities made my holiday so much more pleasurable than last year as we were able to get out more because of Andreas’s disabled taxi which ment I did not have to leave my electric wheelchair. So I can only thank Chris, Eva, Andreas, Arnue for the help they gave us for a superb and excellent holiday

We all had a great time, the facilities made it easy to enjoy a holiday without worry.
The hoist at the pool was great, rooms/bathrooms easy access.
We were all made to feel at home at C and A. Infact it was a bit like going to visit my own mum the way we were welcomed.
The climax for me was seeing my son raise from his wheelchair into the air when we went parasailing!!!
All i can say is what you see on the web site is all as it seems.
Genuine and a great place for a holiday. Polis was nice and although the restaurants fail in there facilities for less abled people, there is a Public Toilet for special needs in the town square which is only 2 minutes from most restaurants, and thus no problem.

Hi Chris,
Thanks again to you, Eva, Andreas, Nitsa (excuse the spelling!) and, of
course, Dimitri, for such a wonderful time, you welcomed us as your own family.
The hoist and the pool were fantastic for Robbie - he says a big thank you
for the best birthday ever (especially the birthday cake!), the fastest wheelchair and the great fun he had on the electric scooter. Tom and Robbie just loved it with you all and want us to move to Cyprus!
The food was superb and the accommodation excellent. Thank you for our
'family' meal, it was lovely to meet so many of your family. I will never forget the early morning swims with Eva and seeing the sunrise - it was beautiful. The company was excellent and we were brought together with a lovely family,
Helen, Nigel, Liam and Amy, who also made our stay special and we know will
be lasting friends.
We hope to see you all next year.

My family and I have just returned from one of the best holidays we have ever had. We spent a week with Chris, Eva and Andreas at their beautiful holiday apartments but we wish we had booked up for two weeks as one week was definitely not long enough. We were greeted at the airport by Andreas in his fantastic taxi that allowed our 5 year old disabled son to travel safely in his wheelchair. We arrived at the complex 45 minutes later, to be greeted by Chris and his mum Eva. To say they made us feel welcome is an understatement!!! There are so many happy memories of our holiday that i could go on for ever about them, but the highlights would have to be the delicious barbeque that was laid on by Eva and Andreas, parasailing with my son, going out every night with Chris to lovely restaurants and meeting some wonderful people but most of all how easy everything was. The apartments are perfect for making a holiday as a disabled person, or with a disabled person as stress free as possible. We have already booked our holiday for next year, but this time we are coming for 2 weeks- so look out Chris!!!!

Just like many of the other comments below, Lou & I have just returned from an fantastic but exhausting enjoyable holiday at C&A apartments and the Akamas. I am glad to be back at work for a rest! What with going to watch the Euro 2004 football into the early hours with Chris, then catching a few hours sleep until we were up again at 5.30 for the sun rise swim with Eva. In between trying to fit in snorkelling, biking & walking.
Don't let this put you off going, it is possible to spend your time relaxing and chilling out . Chris, Eva & Andreas are the most perfect hosts you can ever wish for. Nothing is ever too much trouble, they are always willing to please. The atmosphere at C&A is nothing like I have ever experienced before, you will make friends with lots of lovely people who will enrich your life forever, it is very much home from home. I can now understand why Lou has returned 3 times, I certainly will.
Thank you very much.

We have just got back to the UK, after a truly wonderful week with Eva, Chris and Andreas. From the moment we arrived at the airport and were greeted by Andreas with a huge placard with our names on, to the wonderful parting BBQ put on by the family on our last night, we felt as though we were more 'house-guests' than visitors. The apartments are beautiful, the pool surrounded by lemon and orange trees and Eva's breakfasts to die for! Getting to know everyone else that was staying was great, and we particularly enjoyed our boat trip and blue-lagoon swim with Eva, Chris and many of the other guests.
Polis offers a wide range of places to eat, at a reasonable price and is handy to lots of lovely beaches and places of interest. We nearly always go self-catering, liking the freedom it offers one and the privacy. However, the diferentiating factor from all other self-catering places we have stayed in was the fact that we really DID feel part of the family and that was all down to the wonderful atmosphere of the place - it is QUITE UNIQUE. It was very hard to tear ourselves away, and my eyes were strangely moist as I hugged Eva good-bye.
Oh, and by the way, neither of us are disabled. This is a place for anyone looking for the perfect mix of relaxation, wonderful hosts, the opportunity to mix with others if you want to, and yet enjoy the privacy of your own lovely little apartment on the most beautiful island, with a wonderful family.

When you go back to a place you always wonder if it will be as good, well this is our third time, but first time we have ventured abroad with the grandchildren.
Our grandchildren are well travelled, America 3/4 times Spain and the Canaries but they thought staying with Chris and his family was the best. To sum it up in there words it was wonderful to be part of the family, to be able to go into Polis on there own without any worries and the glass bottomed boat was real cool.
For us it was everything we expected and more, thank you all for your welcome and making our holiday so very special.
P.S. We are all able bodied, so although the facilities are superb for disabled its good for everyone.

Stayed with Chris and Eva for the last week of may 2004. This was my 18th birthday present. Went along with a mate Dave and we had a great time. Easy to get around, not much for the younger generation in polis itself but there is a go-karting place up the road and with Latch just 10 mins away there are plenty of watersports to get in to. Parasailing and Jetsking where what we tried and we were very pleased, price ain't to bad 18CY£ for parasailing and 25CY£ for 30 min on a jet bike. Latch Watersports are well qualified with PADI and are insured, fun with no hastle. If your looking for a nice place for a drink just 2mins round the corner for c&a is a bar called waterfall. Great prices and gud pool table. Bar staff freindly although don't understand English to well. The bar down at Polis beach is open almost all the time, always freindly, english people, and put on some gud entertainment most nights, music for all ages. Great for a piss up. Chris and Eva are really friendly people and are always there to help, i thank them for a great time, enjoyed every min.

We all know what it's like trying to book a holiday that is going to suit our individual needs.Surfing the net, phoning hotels and apartment complexes to be assured everything is suitable only to find out on arrival that everything is not.Well stop wasting time and get onto Chris and book a holiday in Cyprus, which is just as it says on the website. But it's not just the many adaptations in and around the apartments and complex which make a holiday at Chris and Eva's such a good one.It is very hard to single out or put a finger on what it is, but everything you read in this guest book is true.
Everyone will get something different from a holiday here, and from a friendship with Chris, his parents, family and staff. For me it was knowing Joyce was able to enjoy our holiday as much as myself and the fun we had with Chris on our excursions, boat trip and meals out.One word of caution,Chris promised to have me working for him during my stay and true to his word he did,but I can say never before has it been such a pleasure to work on holiday and for such a great boss!
It's just a shame he would'nt take me on full time!!

To all in Cyprus many thanks once again for a great holiday and wev look forward to having a drink with you all when we return in september.

We have just returned from a wonderful week' s holiday staying with Chris, Eva and Andreas at their apartments complex in Polis. It was lovely to meet Chris after exchanging so many e-mails. I felt as though I was greeting an old friend.
The patio facing apartment was ideal for us, as it had plenty of space for wheeling around. The beds were comfortable and just the right height for lateral transfer, and the bathroom was well designed and spacious.
We had agreed that Ruth would not do any cooking at all, so we had breakfast by the pool each morning (a wonderful range of dishes prepared by Eva) and went into Polis for lunch and supper most days.
We soon realised that Chris had been hard at work to ensure that all the local restaurants are wheelchair accessible. This was brilliant and make life much easier and more enjoyable for us. Most of the pavements are dipped, although people seem quite used to seeing wheelchairs bowling along the edge of the road. In fact they are used to seeing people in wheelchairs generally and take it for granted, a change from other places where everyone stares at you!
This was our first visit to Cyprus, the destination being determined by finding an ideal holiday venue. I'm always looking out for places where you can hire disability equipment, and there are very few of them, so we found ourselves going to Cyprus.
We did not have a hire car, but instead we went out for two separate excursions with Andreas. During our excursions into the mountains to see the monastery and then to Paphos to see the mosaics, we were entertained by Andreas who knows everything there is to know about the history, geography and economics of Cyprus.
I can highly recommend the complex apartment itself, the town of Polis, and the whole area of Western Cyprus. The weather in May was wonderful -- just right for someone who doesn't like it too hot. The rest of the guests were fun and good company, and it was nice to meet a different group of people. But best of all was the delightful family who run the holiday complex. They are really quite special people, and you must go meet them as soon as you can. But don't tell everybody how wonderful and they are, or there may be no room for us next time we want to go !

We spent 10 days in April 2004 having a wonderful time that was entirely due to the kindness, friendship and help from Eva, Andreas and Chris. Nothing was too much bother.
The facilities are well arranged and support the needs of the disabled traveller. This is especially evident in the pool with grip bars and an electric hoist.
We had the honour to be among the first people to walk and ride across the new beach "mat" giving direct access to the sea, a facility due to the perseverance of Chris.
We loved the island and the climate, that was very benefical to Jackie, so we decided to purchase a property. We needed to be on hand to keep Chris out of mischief!

Hi Chris, Eva and Andreas,

Thanks again for a wonderful holiday. Your friendship and helpfulness to all of those who visit you is exceptional, and many thanks you for organising a wonderful Birthday Party for Tony - the cakes etc were scrumptious. The whole complex, and of course the pool area with hoist is well adapted to the needs of those in a wheelchair, and our stay in apartment 7 was very comfortable. This is the second time we have visited the complex, and I am sure we will return again soon. The C & A Appartments are one the few holiday destinations hat we have found where we can guarantee that Jenny will be catered for in every respect.

This was the best holiday we have had in years. It was great to travel with the wheelchair in confidence we would be ok at our destination - the apartment was just as described as was the pool and the other facilities.
The Family made us feel welcome & comfortable from the start. Chris & Eva do that bit extra to make sure you enjoy your break.
We would compare our stay to visiting family or old friends such was the rapport and friendship extended to us by the family.
Chris is an inspiration to all and we expect him to be Mayor of Polis any day soon, his family are very warm genuine people, we enjoyed every day and can't wait to return.
Helen has Freidriechs Ataxia like Chris & we would not hesitate in recommending the apartments to anyone considering Polis for a holiday.

had a fantastic time staying at the Evas as a solo wheelchair user. Thank you Chris, Eva & the family for making my stay very pleasurable. I was a little worried about travelling on my own but didn't need to because Eva would always get something if I needed it. So if anyone reading this is thinking of going away alone - it is possible

Many thanks Samantha (Sam)

We do not have any special needs for any disabilities but we do have a 6 month old who requires a pushchair.
C&A appartments proved perfect and a wonderful time was had by all!
Thank you Chris, Eva and the family for taking so much care in ensuring our holiday was as relaxed as possible.
Polis itself was a lovely location.

Hi Chris,

Many thanks for such a wonderful holiday in Cyprus.
You & your family provide the "personal touch", which is very hard to find these days.
So I am telling everyone about the "wheelchair friendly" facilities you offer at C & A Tourist Apartments.
And I hope to return again soon, as one visit is not enough.
John
